The sun can take its toll on leather car seat interiors – making the leather seats dry and stiff. Temperatures inside automobiles parked in the sun can reach upwards of 150 degrees F. If possible, keep cars parked in a garage or in the shade with the windows cracked. This will prevent the oils in the leather from hardening and the leather becoming stiff.
Leather Saver conditioner can be used on leather auto seats to keep them soft and protect from sun fading. For vintage automobiles use our Restoration Leather Conditioner. This is formulated to treat older and sometimes fragile leather in antique automobiles. It is a gentle, but effective conditioner which also contains a UV protectant. To add some fresh leather scent to your auto, try our Leather Fragrance.
Enjoy your summer!
